About me

My background
Born in Oslo, Norway. Studied in Perth, Australia. After that I went back to Oslo for some years, before moving to Hannover in 2016. Here I live with my wife and 3 kids.

What I do
I run a little web agency in Oslo, Norway together with my colleague Stig Taftø. It is called Vasser, and is a small design and development agency.

Music
I was born into a house of musicians, and I've been playing guitar since I was a kid.

Photography
I got a Fujifilm X10 back in 2012, and have sticked with Fujifilm ever since. Particularly enjoyed my X100S. Now I use a X-E3 with 35mm f1.4.
I'm not a great photographer, but I love how the photos turn out compared to those from my phone, and I also love the tactile sensation of the cameras.

Reading
I love reading. I didn't growing up, but have learned to enjoy it a lot now midways through my 30s. Especially non-fiction books.
Some favorites include "Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman", "Man’s Search for Meaning" and "Living with a SEAL".

Family
Most of my time and energy outside of work goes to spending time with my family.

Minimalism
I believe in the classic Fight Club quote "The things you own end up owning you."

Still, I'm not a minimalist in the Marie Kondo way. I have a lot of stuff accumulated over the years, and as much as I like simplicity, I hate waste.
My main way of coping is to be very considerate when buying new stuff. Most of the time I don't need it, and have gotten way better over the years at realizing this.
